CALM! Update

At a meeting of the Planning Committee on 21st December both Cairn’s and Camier’s applications to increase lorry movement were turned down and in addition the Committee endorsed enforcement action on all breaches of planning control.

This means that:
• Cairns is restricted to 24 HGV movements per day and they do not have planning permission to use the trommel.
• Camiers is restricted to 82 HGV movements per day.

Bucks County Council have yet to determine what enforcement action they will be taking to ensure that these restrictions are adhered to.
This decision followed a successful public meeting held on Friday 14th December in Cheddington Village Hall. The public meeting was attended by John Bercow MP and
David Gauke MP, representatives of local parish councils, and interested villagers; some 150 in total.
