Aircraft Noise Changes

The Terminal Control North region is one of the most complex areas of airspace in the world, with routes in and out of major airports including Heathrow, Stansted, Luton and London City. All these airports have grown considerably in the past 20 years and this growth has been accommodated within the existing airspace infrastructure. Changes to flight paths in and out of Luton Airport will affect parts of the Aylesbury Vale district, particularly the Chiltern Hills and parishes to the east and north east of Aylesbury. National Air Traffic Services (NATS) is seeking feedback on its proposal before submitting it to the UK airspace regulator, the Civil Aviation Authority. The consultation process started on 21st February 2008 and runs until 13th June 2008. All comments received during this period will be analysed and summarised in a report to be published on the NATS website by 22nd June 2008.

For full details please go to the NATS website www.consultation.nats.co.uk.
