Youth 4 Youth is now open to year 8 up. Membership now includes those living in Mentmore, Marsworth and Horton. Visitors from outside these villages will be welcome but must be signed in by a member, who will be held responsible for their behaviour.

Although, at the moment, we do not charge an annual membership fee for insurance purposes we will require those of you who wish to attend to complete a slip and return in to Youth 4 Youth. You will also have to sign in and out on Tuesday evenings. From 1 April 2006 there will be a membership fee of £5 per year, this is to help with the cost of insurance and BAYC affiliation. Non-members will be charged £2 per session. Membership forms will be available from 21 February and will need to be returned by 21 March.
For those of you who haven't been to Youth 4 Youth before the charge is £1.50 per week (for members and £2 for non-members), payable at the door, this includes tea, coffee, hot chocolate and squash. NO SWEETS ARE FOR SALE but you may bring your own.
Youth 4 Youth is NOT like Youth Club, you are expected to take greater responsibility for your actions and the standards of behaviour are regulated by the Youth Committee - if your behaviour is deemed unfit you will be asked to leave and not return. Youth 4 Youth will NOT tolerate alcohol or illegal substances on the premises and the police will be called if they are found to be present. There is also a strong chance that Youth 4 Youth will be disbanded.
A quick update on what we've been up to over the last few months. 20 teenagers and three adults had a fun (if sleepless) night on 2/12/05 at the BAYC organised Midnight Ice Skate at Ally Pally. Thanks to Karen Chapman for giving up her time (and sleep!) to come along. Our Christmas Tree at the Christmas Tree festival raised £33.34 for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Thanks to all those who helped make the decorations and those who made donations. Our first Pizza Night (7/2/06) was a huge success although 13 pizzas took longer to cook than to demolish - as you can see we're doing it all again 21/3.
As you have found we have our our webpage, which you are invited to contribute to, and the web Forum is also a good way for you to have your say. Committee members intend to use the Forum more and more to post polls and other information so if you have internet access we suggest you check it out regularly.
Youth 4 Youth is affiliated to the Bucks Association of Youth Clubs which means we can offer trips in association with other Youth Groups in Buckinghamshire. The Youth Committee also hope to organise trips and welcome suggestions of where you would like to go - please note trips will be at an additional cost.
