Cheddington - Village History
Known in ancient times as Cetendone, Cheddington is mentioned in the Domesday Survey of 1086.
The railway provides what is possibly Cheddington's main claim to fame - the Great Train Robbery took place here during the early hours of the 8th August 1963.
