Great War Roll of Honour

This Roll of Honour was kept at St Giles Church, Cheddington, but was passed on to the Buckinghamshire Records Office in the year 2000 for safe keeping. I photographed it there for some research I have been doing into the men of the village who fell in the First World War.

Great War Roll of Honour

I have also included three spreadsheet lists:

* A spreadsheet file giving the details shown on the Roll of Honour
* The same details in alphabetical order
* All those who fell in WW1 and WW2 – not all were included in the Roll of Honour list, but are included on the Cheddington War Memorial.

Most of the details I have now established but where I have doubts about the information I have included a question mark. This is an ongoing project!

There are three graves from this war and three from the Second World War in St Giles Churchyard. All but one are the standard Commonwealth War Graves Commission's headstones. I include a photo of Harry Beilby's headstone as an example of one of these headstones.
