Parish Council Elections

Parish Councillors are elected every four years, the last election having been held in May 2021.

A Parish Councillor must be over 21 years of age, a local government elector of the parish or, for 12 months occupied land or property in the parish, or has for 12 months resided in the parish or within 3 miles of it, or, for 12 months, had their principal place of work in that area.

Should a casual vacancy occur between elections, the parish council is required to declare the vacancy forthwith, there will be an election if 10 electors call for one, otherwise the Council is required to fill the vacancy through co-option.
