Leighton Corinthian Judo Club
Judo sessions start up again on 1st September 2007. The BJA will not allow us to run sessions without a BJA Level 2 coach present so, as Joe has to work every other Saturday, we can only run sessions every other weekend. Mark Scott, a coach from the Renrukan Judo Club at Aylesbury, has offered to help us out to keep us running in 2007. Hopefully in the New Year we may be able to get back to weekly sessions.
From September we will change the sessions slightly:
9.30 - 10.30 Kano Club (5-8 year olds)
10.30 - 11.30 Juniors, all grades
11.30 - 12.30 Seniors and older/higher graded junior players.
On 22/23 September the GB men's judo World Cup is at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham. This will be an opportunity to see top international players in action, including the British Olympic hopefuls. Entry is £14 for adults and £6 for children. Birmingham NIA is easy to get to by train from Cheddington or Leighton Buzzard.
We are planning to run a BJA Child Welfare course on a Saturday in mid January. We will let you have more details nearer the time.
